Pension Freedom - figures show no real impact on buy to let market

I have often been asked and spoke to clients about the pension reforms and how it might affect the rental market, I am not totally surprsied by the findings but think this could change if there is an increase of properties coming onto the market and being built.

New industry research shows that of those existing buy to let investors with a pension in place, just five per cent are planning on withdrawing a lump sum to expand their portfolio.

Britons see 41% of monthly pay vanish on their rent as Londoners spend half

Much has been written regarding the recent rent increases and the impact it has on families incomes, largly down to a lack of supply of homes which is lagging behind the required quotas, this is why keeleys collect and pay service is a real benefit to landlords as it cuts exposure to late rent payments and arrears.

Hythe Quay Repairs

The District Council is pleased to announce that the repairs to Hythe Quay will start on 5 October for 12 weeks. Whilst this work is being undertaken, the Quay will be closed to the public.
